Criticism, praise and hopes for Bethesda's next games after Skyrim

And as I have been pointing out the factions that exist in the game really don't have much reasons to deny you access to them because you joined another factions.

-The Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild have a understanding when it comes to killing guild members and the DB obviously uses the thieves guild as a supplier for some items.

-The College of Winterhold relies on Enthir to get them items, and he get many of his items from The Thieves guild.

-The Companions obviously have no reason to care about the DB, TG, or College.

The DB, TG, and College are all interconnected to an extent via illegal item trade, and smaller factions like The vigilant are so narrow focused they have no reasons to interfere with the other organizations.

Bethesda did a great job at making logical reasons as to why no one is attacking each other.

And your point here is irrelevant to what we're saying about certain merchants/NPCs who support certain factions. We're not talking about the general merchants that could care less about which faction wins the war. What does the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves guild relationship have anything to do with this? I don't see how it's "logical" that from the start, Lydia would help you commit murder and even turn against Balgruuf. Yea real logical sense right there.

I wasn't even talking to you in that part of the post, that is why CalibanX's quoted post appeared above it and your quoted post appeared below it, do you understand anything at all about conversations?

Dear god its like I'm talking to a child.

Like I said in my post, the common people care not about which side of the war you are on, they just want it to end. Making them get peeved off for joining one side is illogical.

Also all merchants in the game are normal people, made exactly that way so so you wouldn't be denied content, the only exception are the merchant quartermasters found in the Stormcloak and Legion camps who DO REFUSE to trade you things depending on which side you are on.

-Cass, Boone, and Veronica's "we don't like you so we are leaving" BS was widely criticized on the Fallout forums are being poorly done, probably it was removed, thank god.

Cass, Boone, and Veronica were highly criticized as you mentioned right here, which is wrong and their features were also never removed just because some people didn't seem to like companions having personality. And no, the only exceptions to merchants supporting particular factions in Skyrim are not limited to the quartermasters. Eurlond hates the Imperial Legion. There are two blacksmiths in Windhelm who support (and seem to want to only support) the Stormcloaks. There's a smith in Solitude who supports the Imperial Legion because he hates the Stormcloaks. My point is that there is division in Skyrim and your point about breaking lore by adding in faction choices and consequences make no sense.

Please re-read again since you obviously haven't done it fully once

CalibanX was talking about almost the same thing I was about choices and consequences which was why I mentioned it. And please don't resort to insults. I have not insulted you even though I disagree with your point.

**Edit

Actually, since you're resorting to insulting now, I'm going to leave this discussion because I don't want it to turn into something ugly.

Yes they may not like the opposite faction much but obviously they don't care enough to not trade with you, who might be on the other side.

Again this "division" isn't that deep. Most people only care about the war being over and those who "claim" to have strong feelings about one side obviously don't.

Many people claim strong allegiance to something yet when it is tested the crumble, these people are no different. they were talking smack but really didn't care.

won't Primm not help in you New Vegas if you join Powder Gangers?

i guess in a nutshell Skyrim could use a reputation system... like one you can view in your UI and affect through quests

actually, the Radiant Quests would be superb for that !

All NPCs already have a disposition stat that increases/decreases based on actions you do to them, and affects what responses they give you.

And all the "factions" beyond The Empire/Stormcloaks are neutral to each other and The Empire/Stormcloaks. It wouldn't change much.
