zuggzugg
Puzzle doors and puzzle claws share pictures... examine the claw in your inventory window if you're stumped Haha, It took 10 doors or so until I realized that! Until then I was brute forcing all combinations (it are only 27, so no big deal anyway) Makes me wonder, who ever designed the doors - what did they think would be the benefit of this? 27 Combinations? Where the combo is written on the key you need anyways??? Took me about 30min to figure that out. I decided to read the journal from the guy who had the claw. It said, "those who hold the key have the answers in their hands". So basically, the answer was on the key. I know, it's like writing your locker combination on the locker. I mean, why make a puzzle door at all if you're only going to write it on the key? Why not just use a doorknob? Draugr logic. No wonder they're all dead :P
FordPerfect
Puzzle doors and puzzle claws share pictures... examine the claw in your inventory window if you're stumped Heh I didn't notice that for the first 30 hours or so I played the game so I brute force hacked the doors. 3 rings with 3 options = 33 (27) possible combinations. .. Somehow it was more fun before I knew :P Edited January 18, 2012 by FordPerfect
NoobusExtremus
If you're playing a stealthy character (mine's a stealthy archer with 100 skill in each), if you find a room full of baddies but don't have the power or skills to one-shot them all, but have patience, try to kill the first one you attack and run away to another room. If you get far enough and have time, set a rune if you have the skill and fall back a bit more. Usually only one or two will follow you that far away. They hit the rune, then you hit them until they die. Go back to the room, aggro another and lure him away to kill him. Rinse and repeat until the room is clear. Only fools rush into a room full of baddies unless they're totally badass and have an talent for dealing mass death and mayhem.
Wael90
Only fools rush into a room full of baddies unless they're totally badass and have an talent for dealing mass death and mayhem.I once had to stealth cross a valley with 2 Dragons flying around each side, while having to slide down cliffs and walk through forests full of bears and bandits. I was overloaded and pretty low-leveled, didn't want to drop the precious dragon bones so I decided to walk all the way to the nearest town which wasn't that near afterall.. A room of baddies you say? :P I'll take that anytime. Not that your advice isn't good though. :)

Faitmaker
Books that give training are valued as a lot more than books that are not, probably around 50-70ish, so just scan the bookshelves instead of opening them all up. On this. How do you pick up a book without reading it? on PC. I haven't scanned many messages past this so if it has already been mentioned, I apologize. This isn't what he was talking about but to directly answer your question, you can have your follower pick it up then take it from their inventory. This is also a good tip because you can save those points for later when your really need them to boost your level, etc.
ModelV
If your going to mix heavy armor and smithing and arent going to settle for the lesser armors then only put a single point in juggernaut. Remember that armor is capped at 580 or so so anything above that does nothing.
Sarimae
Read the books... not the ones for skilling, but those with history and/or knowledge. Some fights/encounters will end up easy. AND you will notice some books giving you hints where to go and what to find, you may miss otherwise :)

Me thinks it's best to RP that these simple puzzles are really hard for the NPC's and are just a game version, like combat, of what you RP. So when so and so says something like I wonder if these do something, but it takes you to figure it out, I just RP that the actual puzzle was much harder. thesapien
Force shouts work on insects and fish, if you're having trouble catching them. Sometimes, the insects are then hard to find, but fish will often just float to the surface, especially after hitting a body of water with a 3 word shout.
