Easy way to hide headwear?

Well the simple answer is that there isn't a simple way, so I made a mod to help you out.

There is a popular mod that hides several helmet types that you should look at, but the Shroud Helmet isn't one of them. I hope I added the right version because I actually never played the Dark Brotherhood quest line yet (did the other guides oddly enough). If you don't know how to use it look into the Nexus Mod Manager.

I tried copying .nif files but this failed. It would be nice to have the same armor perks but just have them look different.

One solution I found is

http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4405

This makes craftable circlets of the armor type you have. Not as strong as the helmet (my 36 leather helmet is replaced with a 26 raan circlet - not perfect but reasonable).

Thanks you! You def are getting kudos for that! :)

I actually was already using that mod combined with one that replaced shrouded with nightingale. Nightingale is included and so that was sort of a workaround.

This TS Edition is a nice fresh armor for my new char.

I tried some renaming too but it didn't work either. That is the extend of my modding abilities.

Using a criclet with a armor rating would be a solution. However I'd miss the bow damage enchantment till I got my enchantment skill up. Thanks for the suggestion though. :)
