killermg4200
so i'm all very new to this mod making stuff, coming from xbox to pc, and one idea i had for a mod was new area and quest. quite a bit of info about making quest, so i think i can figure that out, but little to nothing i'v found about making new map area outside the existing map area. I want to make basically a new "world", like nuka world or far harbor, how does one go about that? (I already have the new world space, just don't know how to link it back to the base game)

travinator98
Doors (and boats and monorails) just act as teleporters to move the player from one cell to another designated area in a cell (typically another door) on activation. The monorail and boat work in the same way, they're just prettied up by Bethesda with scripts and stuff to make it more interesting. But for testing purposes, the easiest way to do what you want would be to go into your worldspace, drop a "load door", then go back into the Commonwealth somewhere and drop another one. Double click it and there should be an option tab called teleporters. Open that tab on it, then go back to your worldspace and find your door and link them, and it should work :) Edited March 1, 2017 by travinator98

legobrick100
To make a new world space, you need to click the 'world' tab at the top and click 'World Spaces'. From there a window will open with all the game's world spaces on the left in a box. If you right-click on that box and click 'new', you can create a new world space and adjust the settings as you see fit. From there, you can pretty much access it just like you access the Commonwealth in the cell menu; you can click the drop-down to go to the new world space. From there you can place a door(of any kind, a cave-door, a literal door, a metro tunnel, etc), and link it to one in the Commonwealth. Keep in mind you will also need to navmesh the new worldspace just like you will for interiors.Be warned I remember there was some glitching issues last I tried where you can't sprint or bring up your pipboy in a new world space, but it was a while ago and they likely fixed it by now.
