SSE Civil War Overhaul SE request!

Hi there,

 

I have only recently got into mods and saw a video about the civil war overhaul and it looked so cool! I also saw that the author removed the mod :/ was there ever a SE edition made? If so can anyone upload a copy to share?

Not gonna happen.

The mod requires SKSE so no SE version until its release. Besides, the mod author removed it for a reason and nobody here would share a copy without his permission even if there was a working version. I dont particularly agree with his reasons but nobody can blame the guy. Its his choice and it need to be respected.

CWO was one of the best mods ever made for Skyrim, but chances are is gone for good.

While I liked this mod and it made the CW what it should have been (being able to lose the war). It was riddled with some seriously game breaking bugs like Maven Blackbriar going nuts everytime you enter Riften if she gets booted from the Throne.

 

BTW what is the reason he removed it?

 

Edit: Nvm I just did an internet search. http://tes-mods.wikia.com/wiki/Civil_War_Overhaul As I suspected he didn't care for people bashing the mod. Nobody ever said art/creativity was free of criticism. Sometimes you have to take it constructively even when it's thrown at you.

 

As I said the idea was awesome until you ran into "GAME BREAKING" issues. You never know, maybe he'll re release it or even more probable someone else can take over and clean it up. I wouldn't bet on it though :(

Just as a very late follow up to this thread... you can get a version available on Skyrim Mod Piracy on reddit.

I know that thread can be really taboo here, but there ya go. As for the version/quality/support? Yeah I have no idea, and my load order is so full as it is I don't wanna throw another potentially pretty out-dated mod into the mix atm, but it's there if you're willing to risk/test it.
