GowiHasti
Say I haven't found what I want online and I merely want to say change an NPCs skin tone or give them a tattoo. How do I do it? And if I change their skin tone if they have outfits limited to them that show skin such as hands will that skin tone change reflect properly or must I also change the armor such as say for Morrigan? theskymoves
You can easily make minor edits (such as tints) to MOR files with a GFF editor (like pyGFF). Adding a tattoo is more complicated and may not be possible, especially if the MOR does not have a visible tat originally... I'd suggest using a 'source' MOR with the same tattoo appearance (including the intensity of the tint) and copy/pasting the information from source to target. (It is definitely possible to remove tattoos by editing a MOR, though.) As to your second question (which is a bit unclear and I'm not certain whether it is Morrigan-specific or no), if the armour/clothing is correctly set up to reflect the skin tint of the equipping NPC's MOR, then it will shift dynamically to reflect the new tint. However, some modded gear (usually posted stuff) does not have proper skin tint textures and thus will not shift... it's really a case-by-case thing and wholly dependent on exactly what gear is in question. Yeah, say I change Morrigan's skin tone/tint do you know if it will change on her robes as well? And where do I find the Morrigan Mor file? theskymoves
Base game MOR files (including Morrigan's) can be extracted from the 'face.erf' archive, which is located in [game install location]/Dragon Age/packages/core/data Anecdotally, (rather than from experience, as my own Morrigan is near-vanilla), I don't believe that there are any issues with Morrigan's vanilla robes and skin tints... at least none of the 'Chasind Morrigan' mods mention it as an issue.
