Heartcloud
Can anyone please identify what shield mesh is missing in this screenshot? It's a regular bandit with a one-hand weapon and a shield, but I don't know what shield it is, and the mesh is missing for some reason.http://i.imgur.com/atjlz.jpgThanks. By the way apparently this bandit is equipped with two shields. I killed him and got "light iron shield", which has no mesh problems (as I equip it and see it), but the equipped shield drops onto the ground and becomes invisible as it has no mesh. SubjectProphet
Seems like a mod problem. We'd never be able to ID it, as the bandit is never the same on the roads. Chances are, you installed a mod that contained a shield and the maker of the mod put it on some bandits. And I have NO idea what the text on the shield is, maybe that would help though. Heartcloud
Oh the text is just the default oblivion thing for missing mesh I think, "wtf missing mesh" with a huge yellow star thing. Is there some program that can detect missing meshes? I mean the game must know what's missing, otherwise it wouldn't have that "wtf missing mesh" mesh right? It would be kind of impossible to go through each mod manually as I have like 200+ mods. =/ Edited January 18, 2012 by Heartcloud
Heartcloud
Edit: I found out what item it is (by taking off his items one by one until missing mesh error goes away). It's an item called "Ebony Longsword Offhand". I have no idea what mod added this though, my first guess is Unnecessary Violence II as it adds some kind of duel wield. Is there any way to trace what mod added this? I can't drop it onto the ground and check its ID, as it has no mesh and would just disappear if dropped. =/ Edited January 18, 2012 by Heartcloud
