Murkrow900
(SOLVED!) Rykea on page 3 pointed out that 'Fallout 4 HD Reworked Project Revised' is brutal for all setups to handle even though it's a mod aimed for good performance. I removed it and now the game runs great. Thanks to everyone that contributed and special thanks to Rykea for solving the problem =) Hey everyone. I'm experiencing poor performance within central boston and especially when fights occur. The game is capped to 61 fps and I'm using both Enboost and Shadowboost. I haven't modded in a long time so I'm fairly rusty. All help and answers are highly appreciated. I'm posting my load-order as well as what textures I'm using and finally my Ini files. The game is not running the latest update (the high res beta stuff) as I heard that breaks shadow boost. /Murk. PS. It is worth mentioning that I've only before modded Fallout 3 and Vegas as well as Skyrim so this is my first time modding Fallout 4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Specs-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Operating SystemWindows 10 Pro N 64-bitCPUIntel Core i7 6700K @ 4.00GHz 26 °CSkylake 14nm TechnologyRAM16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown (16-16-16-39)MotherboardASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. xNxmod
simple, right click on fallout (on the steam library), properties, betas, select the beta. When the beta is installed (you see fallout 4 beta in the library) run the game.I gain 20 more fps with the beta. Murkrow900
I somehow really doubt that, no offense m8. As I also have ran the Beta but rolled back to the previous version as it broke shadow-boost. I saw no impact on performance.
xNxmod
With me work.Did you use fo4edit to solve problem?
Murkrow900
Could you be more specific? If you mean checking for errors and conflicts then yes and CTD's isn't my problem but poor performance such as big fps loss within central boston. Murkrow900
The Nexus has never disappointed me in the past. Purr4me
The Nexus has never disappointed me in the past. Really hope someone can help me shed some light on what could be causing the problem here.If you have the time, and have the editor installed, log in to Bethesda thru it first, then, load just the master file. Go through all interiors found within that radius of Boston. in each, look for extra data not required that is in abundance and will not be missed. This is going to be hard to understand..a bit, but, you need to do 1 of 2 thing with what ever data you locate.Delete is and later resolvable with xedits undelete functions. OR 2, set them Ignored by sand box and not to re-spawn, completely ignored. In both instances, that setting will be required even if you delete them.Your question is about performance so all data will be there and no missing, just not rendered any more, the games engine will be told by your plugin instructions to simply not load them. This is luck if it works but Boston covers a lot of ground and a ton of things too which can go really wrong.you need to be logging into beth in the Editor so it Isolates what your doing and not dragging in items your not. IF you are not logged in, it will drag in things you don't want.
Murkrow900
Hey Purr4me! Glad you're here and I'm super grateful for your time. I will admit that was a bit difficult to understand as I'm not familiar with that type of 'troubleshooting'. I've mostly used loot/wrye/and at times FNVEDIT or the Editor for Skyrim and when things have gotten to a point where I feel I don't have any clue what I'm doing I've searched for help here. Could you help me dumb it down so it'd be easier for me to understand? Changing something you tell me to do or removing a specific mod that you think is bad or tweaking an INI file would be a lot easier for me to do. But of course I totally understand that not always being the option that is required. Looking forward for your response. /Murk
Purr4me
Well, The basic game is where all the points start from. so, that being said, that means all mods built from those points are and will effect the outcome.Got your attention yet? Purr4me
A mod built for an area may cover spawns OR spawn rates based on what placed there. All mods that alter or change these effect what spawns inside interiors. Basic game--"NO Mods" means we have whats sits there before messing with additional data Pilled on. In this case, load order is out the door. "Will Not matter" of those already in action. But !, the load order of what you do does, as it will override all above it. "Important" you need to decide what it is you really want to commit too in the base game because Fo4 is too big to back out of once committed to this kind of thing. In previous encounters with individuals I found a lack of commitment due the the shear amount of all of that data that's involved.I have offered and have rendered assistance to some in smaller ways just for their mods only, but it was at my discretion to do so. There is no competition here about this. Not with the user base...but there is Company wise. It's not just 1 involved. So if we render the answers here in the open? we stand to loose all we gain in the open due to it being seen or stolen and used in an update to shut it down. Those are the true risks involved so the commitment is required...once we start, there is no turning back the hands of time.
