charwo
I'm trying to learn how to write and so I'm working on a Fallout New Vegas fanfic. I'm wondering where the best places to post Fallout fanfic are? I'm looking for reader feedback, I love me reviews. Nothing's worse than posting something and no one says a thing. Any suggestions? dubiousintent
Try Fanfiction.net. The link is to the gaming/Fallout forum on that site. There doesn't seem to be any place for it on the Nexus. -Dubious- Edited February 10, 2017 by dubiousintent
Ladez
You could file it under miscellaneous if you want to upload it to Nexus Mods. Not sure if there'd be any interest, but it would be worth a shot. Otherwise try some forums related to Fallout or gaming in general.
charwo
I've been on fanfiction.net. Reviews are way lower in general than they used to be 10 15 years ago. I have one reviewer, who's great, but nothing else. I wondered if the community as a whole goes somewhere else for Fallout fanfiction
JimboUK
As suggested by Ladez, upload it under "Miscellaneous", there are quite a few fanfics and stories that have already been uploaded, I have an ongoing series myself.
dubiousintent
Link to the suggested "Miscellaneous" forum? I wasn't able to find it (other than one for 3D Modelling tools). -Dubious- Edited February 12, 2017 by dubiousintent
Ladez
The suggestion was to upload it to the site as a file (or "mod") in the Miscellaneous category, not post it as a thread on the forum. Sorry for the confusion. :)
charwo
I don't see any stories there either. Besides, they'd be buried under a mountain of actual mods.I've already tried on fanfiction.net. I have one reviewer. One. He's great though. I've been told in a writing group I'm a good writer, my dialogue is top notch, I'm just not writing aq very compelling story. I asked them how to fix that and they said that was on me. Ladez
What about writing communities that are more general and not aimed specifically at fanfiction? I'm not a writer so I don't have examples off the top of my mind, but I know they're out there and a quick google search should quickly lead you to the most popular ones. If what you're looking for is a writer's critique on your skills as a writer and not just general feedback, I think that would be the places to go.
