Amaze
So I got this issue where I'm getting framedrops about every 3-5 seconds while traveling. I disabled all my mods and it's still happening, just a little less pronounced.I'm not seeing any spikes in GPU or CPU usage when it happens.I have the SKSE memory patch installed. My only guess is that it has to do with LOD maybe? I can't tell for sure but the hiccups do seem to happen when the LOD changes. Any tips?
snelss0
I would suggest using DynDOLOD, it actually helps with this. Also, if you are using windows, make sure that you're optimized for it. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=500687692
saurusmaximus
Are you using ENBoost? Also, what are you running for texture mods? those generally don't get "disabled" like normal mods do unless you physically uninstall them.
Amaze
I am using DynDOLOD, I also use Mod Organizer so the mods do get disabled. I think ENBoost is built into the ENB I'm using. But disabling ENB with shift+f12 didn't help. What did help was playing in first person only. I can't say for sure that the hitching is gone, but it's certainly much harder to notice now.I have not tried riding on horseback in first person yet, but at least while running on foot there was a significant difference.
