"SkyEdit?" - Trying to Fix my CTD

Domas

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I figure this would go in Mod Troubleshooting since it has to do with locating mod errors. I downloaded SkyEdit, assuming it was the same concept as FNVEdit, in that it will load your mods in BOSS'ed load order, in order to determine whether or not there are errors. So far, all it seems to be is a pre-CK workaround.

The file is under moderation on the Nexus, but available from the wiki, yet the FAQ is all about creating your own plugin..which I could care less to do.

Long question short: What program can I use to determine mod incompatibilities and errors, similar to FNVEdit? If there is none, would someone be able to help me figure out why I'm suddenly CTD within a minute of gameplay?

BOSS Log if it helps.

The only files I don't have checked to load are Update.esm (because I have no idea wtf that's from or what it does) and the Bashed Patch, 0.esp. Has worked fine for me that way for weeks, but after recent updating, I'm constantly crashing within minutes.

I hate doing this, and I did re-check the forum rules on "bumping", but it has been over 24 hours and on page 2. Would rather not make another topic stating the same thing.

I suppose to clarify, does anyone know of a program that checks for mod incompatibilities? I find it hard to believe there wouldn't be even a port of such a useful, almost necessary, tool for Skyrim (or any game that can be heavily modded for that matter).

Wrye Bash, or Wrye Smash may or may not be useable. I've heard a trickle of information on Wrye's programs regarding Skyrim, and they've always had pretty good conflict detection. FNVEdit may or may not be useable as well, but I'm pretty sure it corrupts(?) plugins if you save them in FNVEdit and try to run them through Skyrim.

I was one step to start this topic by myself.

I'm also on the hunt for a tool like TesIVEdit (I suppose FNVEdit had the same purpose), to check some mods for dirty edits and conflicts.

Nothing out yet? Or any News from the Guys that made TesIVEdit?

Edit: Forgot to responde. Wrye Bash isn't able to do this things by itself. Not yet at least.
