If you have self-policies regarding training...

Mine is that I will not buy training more than 4 times per level (I might change that to two though) and I will not buy training for a skill beyond 50 nomatter what. I don't use any mods that make training more expensive because it doesn't necessarily prevent you from power leveling (you will eventually have loads and loads of cash anyhow), all it does is make it difficult to buy training early in game.

I train whenever I have the money available but I tend to train in skills I don't use. The main skills I use Speechcraft, Security, Long Sword etc will level up fast enough because I use them all the time. (I have stopped reading books that level me up).

I do this rather than spend hours sleeping in front of the creeper!

But as I play the game on difficulty level 100 the beginning is sticky. Later on it gets too easy but by then I don't much mind.

I train only Misc. skills, and then only up to level 50.

I never train Alchemy, because it is the one skill (apart from enchant and Mysticism for Soultrap) that can actually make money.

I'll always use the oppurtunity to level up with a skillbook. It's especially nice when you have the 9/10 levels, and the last one is filled in by the book.

i dont pay for training at all, and i even managed to get my speechcraft skill at 97 without cheating.

although, there may be times when im really tempted, like right now, my heavy armor skill went down to 98 for no reason (probably bug), and im one more skill increase away till im level 102...its very tempting.

Heheh, well, with my first game I just trained my character into the ground. There were a couple of skills I was unable to train.

My second, same, but all skills trained.

All other characters tend to have a lot of training from Master Trainers and the like, though I do have a character going at the moment where I'm not using them, and have lots of difficulty increasing mods. :P Just to balance it out. ;)
