diamonddragoniori
Be it trying to track down exbern...or just "lolly-gagging" into riften...brynjolf pounces on you like some drunk at a bar and one lines you into doing the quest for the thieves guild....who IMO mess up some really nice people....for no reason.... my paladin earned every septim he made the hard way...brynjolf bastard... :armscrossed: i don't want the easy answer of ignoring the quest that will be staring at me every time i open the journal...or the drastic answer of murdering the entire thieves guild....most of them are essential and devlin...he kicks back with some serious power... :whistling: so what is a poor player to do?.... InuyashaFE
Console Type 'disable' Profit Yeah I'm annoyed they expect us to do every guild line as well, I hope they have a mod that allows you to be escorted into the College without joining it, or brawling Brynjolf for the info. Would be much easier that way.
flobalob
You can ignore Brynjolf and just go into the Ratway/Sewers and find him, it doesn't break the plot. That's what usually do, Just TAB out of the conversation with Brynjold and he says "I can take a hint" or something like that and goes away.. surg23
Once you get used to the intrusive quest system, you can tell when a quest is going to be forced down your throat. When i sense that, i just Tab out of the conversation. Well it works most of the time. I've never been able to bring myself to do that quest for Brynjolf either, even on my Evil character. Maybe it's because i hate Brynjolf and i like the victim.
FordPerfect
How can you resist Brynjolf and his seductive voice? "You've never done an honest days work for all that coin you carry have you?" :turned:
eltucu
You should have said "OMG, breaking the law!? WHAT ARE U THINKING!? " And he would have left you alone (not exactly alone since he says to you that you can talk to him later if you change your mind). And thats it. Brynjolf continues with his weird rip-offs and you can do whatever you please (u can kill Sapphire too if you didnt started/finished the quest of the guy in the stables). chanchan05
Personally, I loved the Thieves Guild questline compared to the others. LOL.
Elendre
You can ignore Brynjolf and just go into the Ratway/Sewers and find him, it doesn't break the plot. That's what usually do, Just TAB out of the conversation with Brynjold and he says "I can take a hint" or something like that and goes away.. This, or my Sionid went to the Argonian barmaid at the Bee and Barb and started chattng w/her and she revealed where he is to her. Earlier on in the game she did chat w/Brynjolf and he tried to get her to steal for him and my goodie-two-shoes Sionid told him 'no way' in her best shocked voicetone - he said he was mistaken as he had taken her for "that sort" (likely due to her very high sneak skill-lol-which is not necessarily proof of being a thieving type! Just a very cautious and careful type 8) ) and he backed off and never approached her again. So there are ways to not be forced into the thieves guild if it's not to your taste. Moredhel
You should have said "OMG, breaking the law!? WHAT ARE U THINKING!? " And he would have left you alone (not exactly alone since he says to you that you can talk to him later if you change your mind). And that part annoys me. Even if you decline, it STILL becomes a major sidequest to join the guild, bah!
