I wish there was a Coop-Mode

I like this game, but building huge settlements or clearing out remote locations feels so poimtless if you're alone. I wish there would atleast be a coop-mode, even if it had ridiculous requirements like both players need the exact same load order or need to be in a lan. That would make me like this game way more.

I personally do not like coop- or multi- player games for a simple reason. I hate coordinating my game playing around someone else's life. I am old and retired and I want to play when I am ready.

I understand your disappointment in this game however. To me this game feels dumbed down when compared to previous installments in the franchise. It feels like Fallout 4 is trying to be too many games at once (a SIM, Minecraftf, a FPS etc) and forgot how to be a true Fallout game.

As I have no mates who are gamers (ok, no mates) I've never played co-op games (although I do shop there sometimes) and the only game that I've ever played online was Mass Effect 3, and that was mostly because I needed to to get the percentage up for the final part. I was lucky enough to fall in with a group who were a man down, (they'd lost their sniper) so I fitted in nicely for a while.

I find that the game really needs to be designed for multi player to be fun. Unreal Tournament (yes I am old) for example where the entire game was for online multi with maps designed for the different games. (CTF, Assault, Team Multi etc.) This is where a game can shine for coop.

Single player games that have tried to add a coop feature just kind of feel a little flat to me. Like they are trying to serve two masters but not really excelling at either.

The same applies to games that were designed as online games and had the single player game tagged on, Call of Duty, are you reading this. The thing with Unreal Tournament was that you could play it offline against AI's and it was still fun (at least I enjoyed it).
