Malchik
I have downloaded many mods and tried them out. Often I just leave them switched on in the game and either ignore them or play them when I have done everything else. However I had thought to have played them all through at least once. I have however come across an island with a clockwork tower and the Ultimate Dwemer Centurian. I have not downloaded any mod with that title and it has to be part of another that I did not even know about. Does anyone know what the mod is called? Peregrine
Marxist ßastard's spam deleted. If you don't have anything helpful to say, don't post.
Marxist ßastard
Er... "The Clockwork Tower" is the name of the plugin. Trigger-happy, please... Please enlighten me as to why I would spam, and why it's so much different when you notify within a post instead of via PM. I repeat... A stupid question for a stupid mod. Peregrine
Because your opinion of the mod is irrelevant. If you want to discuss the quality of the mod, then find somewhere else to do it. All that was asked here is "what is the name of the mod?" And if you had read the initial post, you'd know that your answer isn't even right. I have not downloaded any mod with that title and it has to be part of another And as for why I made that post, here's a quote from Dark0ne that should answer your question: If you delete posts in a thread, please make a new post in the thread saying you've deleted some posts, and the reason for it. Marxist ßastard
Peregrine, I can assure you that, though the first instance of "A stupid question for a stupid mod" was stating my opinion of the plugin, the second instance certainly was not. Peregrine: ...your answer isn't even right. This is Morrowind Summit's archive of news, including plugin uploads, for the week of September 22, 2003 -- the entry for that date contains the name of the plugin that Malchik is running, the fourteenth item in Lord Xeen's list. The plugin did not ship (Or upload, I suppose) with a readme, but the document was posted to the plugin's feedback section and later added to the mod's description by dalin, avaliable here. The plugin contains the following data for a creature named "Ultimate Steam Centurion:" (The name may not match exactly, but I think Malchik having a flawed memory has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt at this point) ID: centurion_steam_C_L_NOSType: CreatureLevel: 20--------Mesh: r\Steam_Centurions.NIFScale: 1.50Weapon and Shield: False--------Flies: FalseWalks: TrueSwims: FalseBiped: FalseNone: False--------Essential: FalseCorpses Persist: FalseRespawn: True--------Strength: 100Intelligence: 25Willpower: 70Agility: 50Speed: 22Endurance: 100Personality: 25Luck: 50--------Health: 5000Spell Points: 25Fatigue: 3000Soul: 0--------Combat: 100Magic: 90Stealth: 20--------Blood Texture: Metal Sparks (Gold)Sound Gen: centurion_steam--------Inventory:random_scrap_metal (5)--------Spells:resist normal weapons_50immune to shockimmune to poisonimmune to fireresist paralysis_100resist magicka_50reflect_60 Regarding the possibility of this plugin being part of a compilation that Malchik has installed, the author of the plugin addressed this in an e-mail: Tsar of Cows, the author of The Clockwork Tower, in an e-mail: No I have most definatly not had any contact with any odders regarding CL1, please inform me if somebody is sing my work without permission, so that I can ersonally yell at them. I specifically stated in the eadme that I uploaded onto thr Summit, that I wanted nnybody seeking to use my work to contact me beforehand. Nobody has contacted me. ...And last, but not least, here is one of the locations where this plugin can be downloaded (Be advised that a substantial loss of intelligence may result from use), so that, if he so desires, Malchik can compare filesizes to conclude the filename that the mod resides under in his Data Files directory. Malchik
Okay, fine chaps. Yes a search revealed it and I missed it the first time round. You are probably right about my flawed memory because normally any mod I download I try at once. If I don't like it I delete it. I haven't downloaded anything for weeks and certainly had no recollection of this one. I have never played it. It is just possible one of the kids of a fellow office worker who plays on my machine at times might have done it but this seems unlikely. It must be alzheimers. I take it that MBs view is that the mod is not interesting. I have still not played it but if and when I get round to it I will let you know. Unless you were referring to me being stupid of course? Marxist ßastard
Well, I wouldn't say that the mod isn't interesting -- I'd be lying if I said that finding an Amulet of Divine Intervention and a 47 page "Hastily Written Note" on the corpse of someone with Trueflame and all three Daedric helmets wasn't interesting... And no, that comment was not directed at you. There is a bit more than a subtle difference between being forgetful and marking something as spam and deleting it (Something that, thanks to some new additions, automatically carries a punitive action) because you believe it to be incorrect. Peregrine
1) I don't see you being punished for anything. Unless you're talking about losing a tiny part of your 1100+ post count, in which case you get no sympathy. 2) The simple truth is, he asked for the name of a plugin other than "clockwork tower" that could have those things in it. That is all. If you want to make a review thread, fine. I've never even seen this plugin before and I couldn't possibly care less if you want to criticize it. Make a "plugins to avoid" thread and write a 10 page essay explaining every one of its flaws if you want. Just do it in the right place.
