Uninstalled Armor mod Lots of Settlers suddenly dead.

Here is a new head scratcher. I was using the Mercenary Pack for a while but un installed it. Now I am finding 50-90% of my settlers dead and some of the settlements are empty of everything I built. Worse is command resurrect brings them back but they are basically statues and don't even register on the settlement stats as being there. I first noticed this at Country Crossing where I found a sentry dead and naked. Then everyone at Finch Farm (everything gone) and then the Slog had only 3 of the 14 Ghouls that where there. Not sure what to do other than go back a few saves and see if it still happens but I JUST build my vault 88..

Well a couple of reasons. First off all the raiders I encountered from the start were equipped in full combat armor as early as the battle in Concord to save Preston. Then NPC's kept poping up naked. (a known issue being looked into). I was also just spring cleaning, cutting down on the number of mods I run. Trying to keep it under 45 or so. (Even that seems like a lot).

Second yes, only mod. Literally logged out, un installed and logged back in. Spend 40 minutes on Vault 88 and went to Country Crossing. Found the sentry I posted there dead and naked. Finch Farm was totally empty and everyone dead. Afraid to play at this point.

OK. First off. When you resurrect a settler in a settlement. You will need to go into build mode and re-assign them to that settlement. Then re-assign their job. Then leave the settlement and when you come back they should be acting right. As for the loss of some of your building progress. I'm not really sure. Maybe someone else with more knowledge will help.

That resurrect command can be a real crap shoot as to whether it will work or not. I have never had an instance of using it that did not have issues.

Now if I see a fight I always investigate it to make sure one of the traveling merchants did not get killed. If they did I go back to a previous save and then take a different route so as not to trigger that event.

Doc Weathers and the cat and Brahmin at Abernathy are all NPC's that must live. :)
