Music not playing

Hello everyone.

 

In the first place i want to apologize for asking for a help, i dont want to bother anyone, but at some point, i have no idea where else could anyone help me with this specific problem.

 

The problem is following:

Music is not playing

Ill try to explain as best as possible...

 

When loading my game saves, and the game finally loads, the music will not play.

Useful things to note are following:

 

-Music is turned ON (in the game settings in audio options)

-I have "Immersive music mod" (tried uninstalling it, loading save->didnt help ->reinstalled back the mod-> still nothing ; in other words, this problem is not caused by this mod)

-I have tried multiple ways to fix this, such as following several forum posts, or even using the "SaveTool" to fix my saves, didnt help either

-using commands such as "addmusic EXAMPLE" or "removemusic EXAMPLE"...didnt work

 

And now the weirdest thing to note is:

 

-when using from main menu (Continue, New game, load game etc.) the coc qasmoke ...loading in as a fresh lvl 0 character, the music WORKS;

Well...the Qasmoke does not actually have any music, but the music can be heard during: loading into the Qasmoke. AND...lets say i tried to "coc" into some place that has music (with and without the Immersive music mod), for example "The Drunken Huntsman" -> coc WhiterunDrunkenHuntsman -> music starts playing after the command was set in motion and so, music works during the loading screen into the selected area, when i loaded inside, it also worked, when i exited the store (to Whiterun) and another music plays...(as i mentioned, i tried this with both: WITH and WITHOUT the "Immersive music", both times the music was playing)

-When loading a savegame after using those commands, the music stops...at both loading menu, and when i load. (i tried to "coc" to multiple places, engage combat, nothing helped at all, even the "addmusic" commands...nothing)

 

Conclusion, seems like my save files are damaged or something like that-

 

If there is anyone who can help me out with this problem, i appreciate any help.

When you loaded a saved game with Immersive Music uninstalled, was it a clean save? Have you tried a new game with IM turned off in case a baked in script is causing the issue? This may be able to help http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76776/?

It was cleaned at least twice, once with the "Save Tool" and i also tried the one you suggested, "ReSaver", used all the cleaning options to remove all the old scripts etc.

But it did not work at all.

 

While the main problem is not solved, i found earlier savegame on my PC that does not have only very little progress loss (less than several hours with no important progress), where the music still works properly, at least from what i noticed, i think i will keep playing from this savegame, so the problem might be partly resolved, but id still like to know a proper solution, in case this happens again. To either me or anyone else.

 

But thank you for your suggestion, unfortunately as mentioned, the ReSaver couldnt fix the music either.

 

Edit 2:

Music stopped playing again for some reason. Plus bonus random CTDs lately...skyrim modding in a nutshell.

Hi, not sure if you're still around. I got the exact same problem with immersive music, I had installed the mod open version and all was going well until I try to install Yggdrasil open also with, as it was not working I've try to install immersive music replacer and also tested Yggdrasil but theses time one at a time while the other was not just off but uninstalled.

 

So it not worked no music at all exept the main menu, and when no music mod are on only one repeating vanilla battle song play now.

Like you my old save work, I tested many and I know why, all save with immersive music on don't work anymore, the one just previous to that instalation work and work with Yggdrasil and probbaly any music mod. but unlike you theses save are from like a year ago and did much progress since...

Thanks for the reply, solved the issue long time ago.

It was weird af, but problem was simple, yet difficult to find. The mod on nexus https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16021 Maids 2 Deception was causing it.

For some reason, it includes a "silent" music, which was for me, i don't know for what reason, playing in loop.

All i did was type in command, i don't recall how exactly it was, but something like "stopmus *the Maids2 silent music ID* " and the issue was over.
