Ironman5000
I have been doing a bit of modding for NV and want to start on Oblivion but after using the CS for a bit I noticed there is no Preview option when you right-click the item you want to see. I have tried going to View/Preview window with the item highlighted but the window is blank. Do I need some sort of plug-in or am I doing something wrong? micalov
Does not exist. You have to remember GECK is a more advanced version of CS basically so more/newer features,. for example preview.
Ironman5000
Ugh! Figured as much, oh well thanks for the quick response. I take it there is no way to view the model when you select edit to change it then? Oh and I meant to include shortlisting and is there a way to search a particular editorID? micalov
Not by default no, another feature added with GECK, but CSE might be able to search, I forget.
nofear88
I normally move an object/npc into a level such as the Testing Hall to view them as it gives a better idea of shape, design and dimentions of it. Best to do it that way.

That seems like my best option I guess. I would have thought there would be some sort of update or plugin inspired by the GECK's functions by now, although i'm pretty sure any sort of development with cs has stopped and don't know if anyone with programming experience would be able to fix this. nofear88
CS is hardcoded. It would be pretty difficult to add any new additions and its regarded as antiquated technology by Beth now. They are still focusing on the Skyrim CS WHICH I am not happy about using Steam
shademe
@OP, reselect the object from the object window after opening the Preview window - That should do the trick.
