SignorNessuno
You know, i'm surprised that there are no dwarfs in Fallout 4. I guess could be interesting see some of them in this chapter by mods. No, i'm not talking about the Drunken Gnomes mod where you have to collect all the gnomes hidden in all the Fallout 4 locations. I'm talking about a new type of NPC.It's true we have childrens and we can "hurt" them with mods, but i'm surprised that there aren't dwarfs around the Commonwealth (and in Fallout 3, and in New Vegas) and the only time we could see a bunch of them, are in just in Fallout 1 and 2. As the Fallout Wiki says The dwarves of Fallout are short humans who have, through radiation, mutated to grow decisively shorter than the average human. They are in all other respects human. The DNA of the dwarves has mutated so instead of growing up to the average size of a human, they exhibit a remarkable height shortage. Although they lack the height of an average human, they lack none of the musculature. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Dwarf I guess they could be pretty common in Boston or even in Far Harbor for the constant radiations we found in these places. Maybe have them as settlers, or possible enemies like raiders, gunners, or even members of the main factions from the vanilla game, to the main DLCs.Oh gosh, we could even have some ghoul dwarfs if that could be possible! Imagine that! Edited February 18, 2017 by SignorNessuno
Jones813
So... Take the standard settler mesh, shrink it down on the y axis but leave the x and z axes alone, save that as a new settler mesh the game can draw from and Bob's your uncle. Of course, I say that as someone who has no idea how modeling works so I'm basically talking out of my ass. I really doubt it'd actually be that simple. But the dwarfs have different size compared to the standart human size. The head is normal, but the body is much more shorter. Here, take a look about one of the most popular dwarfs from the tv aka Tyrion Lannister http://static2.comicvine.com/uploads/original/3/39241/5301533-promo_(tyrion)_saison_4_(3).jpg Edited February 19, 2017 by SignorNessuno
SignorNessuno
Well, just up this old topic. Anyone could still considers the idea to put dwarfs in a mod for Fallout 4? And maybe see them as random people in most of the factions?
Morgwynn
Gretch in Fallout 1 was a Dwarf that worked for the Doctor in Junktown and he was a little slow in the intelligence department so maybe an intelligence cap of 3-4. Well according to the Wiki on Gretch his IQ was 8 but his dialog seemed very simple to me. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Gretch

What's the point of that?
Morgwynn
I was just adding my 2 cents to this post. Is there something wrong with drudging up some Fallout lore for no reason other than I wanted to comment.?
SignorNessuno
No. The problem is: that character is from another game. We're talking about dwarfs in Fallout 4, and i'm still actually surprised that we never saw a midget in the entire game. Only kids, that's for sure.
