Location freeze - unfreezes

I took a break from FO4 ... got tired of the still constant updates and played Skyrim SE ... for a season.

I came back, updated the FO4 SE, as I knew that would need to be updated.

Suddenly, this happened - even before starting over.

I would freeze for about 30 +/- seconds, entering Concord from Sanctuary, and then continue with no problem. It's like the map - sandbox needs to 'do something'. This did NOT happen in my older game at all. It does not happen with Skyrim SE or any other game.

This continues to happen when I enter 'new' areas of the sandbox. Lexington, Concord and so on.

So I'm at a loss, as to why suddenly this is happening?

Any thoughts - help - ideas - suggestions are most welcomed! :)

Sounds like your having an issue with cells loading assets. If your using lots of mods that alter textures, meshes or locations, that could be the problem. It could also be related to your hardware?

As you said you hadn't played in a while, it could be related to an issue caused by one of Bethesda's updates. Hard to tell without knowing your mod list, load order, and system specs (as well as what the last vrsn of FO4 was when this didn't happen, and what changes you might have made to mods you use since then. I'm guessing that your using the latest vrsn of the game)

Sorry I can't be of any more help than that.

After some look-see, it's:

Plenty 'o' Exploration - More Interiors and Exteriors.

It is always where the mod changed the areas.

So I will just live with it for now.

Thanks for the feed-back!

After being forced to restart my game, the afore mentioned mod was not the issue. It was a 'false positive', so to speak.

It is Beantown Mod that was the issue. I decided since I had to restart, might as well make sure which mod was causing it, right?

So the old - Turn them all OFF and go through the 1 at a time and it was the Beantown Mod, as it did this even if it was the only mod activated.

I hate starting over, really do ... it's not like Skyrim, where you get into it from the start. I hate the SIM CITY part of this .... but oh well ... it is what it is.
