ryanjp89
I was wondering if it's possible to extract one part of an esp, or esm in this case, and exporting it, or copying it to a new esp.Say like I wanted to copy the weathers from the ESM of Far Harbor without remaking them manually into a new ESP. Is it possible to somehow extract the values or extract, or copy them somehow? What I'm trying to do is create a mod for PS4 that has Far Harbor weather but don't want it to require the Far Harbor DLC.I have both creation Kit and FO4Edit Is it possible to do that with either of those? joemitchell320
If you use assets from a DLC, you MUST make that DLC a requirement, otherwise it's against many rules/terms/laws. What you are asking to do is piracy.
ryanjp89
It's piracy to make a mod for PS4 using far harbor weather for the commonwealth without the DLC as a requirement?
ryanjp89
The mod is going to be for Fallout 4, and I'm going to use it on Bethesda's mod site. I don't understand how that is considered piracy.
joemitchell320
because you are making far harbor assets available to those that haven't purchased far harbor. You can't copy stuff from far harbor esm without requiring far harbor for the mod. You have to recreate it, not copy it. If I take a single texture from automatron, put it in my mod and my mod doesn't require automatron, it's a Bad Thing™. If my mod requires automatron, then i'm good. for data that's in the esm, you should be able to recreate it, to a point, but you cannot copy it. ryanjp89
I see. I will just recreate every weather then. I was asking if an option to copy it because it's quite tedious to redo all the weather one by one.
