gahnzz
If my thinking is straight, and I'm not getting mixed up - I'm under the impression that Bethesda often puts the same books in multiple games. This is true... UESP has a list of them all at:http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Category:Skyrim-Books_that_already_existed_in_Lore_space The wiki states that the text is identical regardless of the game they appear - but that doesn't mean we can't do something funky... super rare version that's 500 years old, etc. Or people can write critiques of the classic book and insert them into game world... or do a Lore-friendly fan fic version... i.e. Wolf Queen v8 by the grandson of Waughin Jarth... that kind of thing. This mod has the potential to be a mod that can expand beyond just vanilla Skryim. We can list books from other mods (with the author permission of course) and any books added in DLC... RbtRvltin
Yeah, many books are in all the games(last 3 anyways), but a lot are missing. And there's nowhere that has them all in the same place. Also, given the fact that this is a mod, I think some artistic freedom can be given. Maybe little elongations of regular books, or small anecdotes or references that only some people would get. And, as an aspiring author myself, I'll try and pen a few :D
worldofscotty
Adding things from other companies is a problem for example putting things made by SEGA would be breaking copywrite. Adding things from the same company isn't breaking copywrite so your fine. Furthermore fallout 1 and 2 were made by a different company so there might be issues with that stuff in fallout 3 Basically Elder Scrolls 1-5 were all Bethesda productions (who openly back modding) so your completely fine. One last thing. If Bethesda were to pay SEGA to have sonic the Hedgehog in Elder Scrolls 2 then that would be infringement as they probably only had rights on that one game

I'm thinking Great Library of Tamriel is intended as a lore-friendly resource/quest hub... as such I don't expect that there will ever be any Sonic products. In the event that we come across a book or item that is from a licensed product, we'll create a critique that will reference the material but state that it's existence has been rumoured and never proven to have been published in Nirn, or something like that. MofoMojo
You guys might find this link helpful if you plan on doing the books. I think they have every book from each of the games posted there. Specifically look under the TES Game Books menu. That site is a true labor of love. -MM
Adolon
I've already typed up 200 books from previous games in the mod in my signature. It's available for download but it's not finished. If you are wondering about legality, I asked the elders at the Bethesda forums about it a couple weeks ago before typing them up and they said Bethesda has specifically said they do not care about what people do with their text. Ahh, yeah. Well, there you go! Imperial Library for the win! And might I say WOW. That's a lot of work you put in! Good job. -MM
