eldowan Posted January 12, 2004 Posted January 12, 2004 I have been lurking around the MEmod site for a year or more, and the forums for just as long. Just recently decided to jump into things, so here goes. I know about searching and the rules, regulations, etc...But I have a question. What does IIRC mean? I have seen it in many posts, but the closest I can figure is 'in IRC'. Is this even close? I have enjoyed the forum for a long time now and hope to see the beta when it comes around. To give a ray of light, I bought the Morrowind Collectors Edition when it first came out, but havent had time to play past Balmora yet, Because College and a full time job keep me pretty busy. I appriciate all the moderators do for the community, and thank you for it.
cmac Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 Greetings and welcome to the forums. Here is a list by Switch of Things Not to Do. Here are the Official Rules. Don't spam and have a great time.
ohGr Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 welcome to the forums, dont spam, swear, or anything related, it doesnt go down too well. as for the IIRC...i have absolutely no idea that that means...heck...i still wonder that the hell a good 90% of there people are trying to say when they use a word in capitals <_<
Muennin Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 Aargh!!! So I'm not the only one completely befuddled with cyber-speak anagrams? Good to know. I prefer to spell things out.
Malchik Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 Hi, welcome to being a contributor. If you have been around so long I'm surprised you haven't seen the definition of the few abbreviations used here. There was a whole thread on it a while ago. Just as a reminder:- IIRC - If I remember correctlyIM(H)O - In my (humble) opinionAFAIK - As far as I knowITRW - In the real world (used mainly by me) Otherwise I think we tend to avoid the worst of cyberspeak. Cheers.
