evan3585
Not sure if this has been requested but Im looking for a library to store all my books. Here is my books I have. There is more books there than what it looks lol. I know how to 3D model and would make the library myself but not sure where to start.New to Skyrim modding. Was thinking a secret room from my house that can store all the book. Shelves can only store on 1 shelf when you auto do it so hoping there is some way to get around this also.A script maybe? Its painfully hard to add each book to a shelf so that they look nice. Any info or anything would be great. Thanks:)http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/6173/123201240641pm.png
GomuGomu64
You do realise that if you click the bottom shelf of the bookcase, you can store another 10 books, right? I say just go nuts with the bookcases. MarkForDelete any shelves you don't want, and start spawning. Perhaps you could stack 'em ontop of each other (The Bookcases) to save space. BlashyrkhRavendark
...I say just go nuts with the bookcases....As far as i know there is problems with getting the bookcases (and weapon racks etc) to work properly when you add them yourself., and do be carefull with markfordelete, disable will often do the trick, and your action will still be reversable.I simply use 2 containers near eachother other, then i drop all newly aquired books in the first to sort them out, then i scroll through them a pick out the doubbles, then i take the doubles and place in the second container for later distribution around my houses. vaknathi
Why in the world do you want to keep all those books? Why do you want to keep and organize all those books? You THAT bored of adventuring through Skyrim buddy? lol Don't know about the OP, but I'm a hoarder in games. I often think that I transfer my real-life hoarding impulses, that I generally keep in check, well, most of the time, sort of, into games. Once the CK is here and I've built myself a nice house-mod with a huge library, I'll be collecting all the in-game texts. I certainly understand the OP's frustration with a lack of shelving in player houses, the best is probably the Markarth home, Vlindrel Hall or whatever. It has three three-shelf bookshelves when fully upgraded, with, I think, 18 books per shelf = 162 books. There are 300+ books in the game, that is proper books, not journals, or spell books, or a few other things I discounted.
Jeffman12
I just had an idea for a mod. The college of winterhold has a fire in the library, the Orc guy either dies in it, goes into a rage and storms off to catch whoever did it, or ragequits at his job. Heck, maybe he went nuts and did it himself. Anyways, all the shelves are opened up, and you get to replace the library yourself, and you find that there is space for one of each book in the game. Upon completing the library, I dunno, something good happens.
evan3585
Thanks for the replies. I thought you could only store books on one of the shelves. Anyone have any tutorials for creating a addon for my house or something. I dont know how to script but if there is other ways around that would be great. Like I said I can 3D model so that part and texturing wont be a problem.@thedemoninside Not that Im too bored with the quest but to me its like my own side quest lol. Doesnt take me too much time to get books and throw them in the corner of my house:) I cant let any of the NPC into my house though cus they will walk over them and books will be spread out everywhere.
