GreenSaint
Ok so Im making a new mod team our name is pending but as of now im going with SaintProductions,This is a profit free group and I am looking for members, I have modding experience but my CS crashes at everything when I try to save, currently was working on a zombie shelter that is linked with anvil abandoned house (that I had cleaned up and moved the boards infront of thedoor *dosent conflict with the grey fox quests or anything* and had added some survivors). Well anyway I had this great Idea to form a team for my next project that I will direct.I would ask you to fill a resume using this templet although you dont have to, you could as a alternet tell me your experince with modding oblivion and list your Email adress, I will need that to Email the members. Templet:Moding skill: (newb,ok,great, expert)time willing to devote: (not much, fair ammount, great deal,Hell I will devote as much time as I can damn it!)Email:(no explanation needed)Strength area: (you will mostlikley be assigned to this area for main work of it, the areas are, fine item placing, area making, quests, npc creation, voice and speech for npcs, item creation, creating npcs, making meshes and textures.)If I didnt cover any of the areas for CS for the strengh area please say the other if it is your strength. chris 07
interesting idea, though the last "profit free" studio is now dead...it was a good team but they all lost interest, they lasted a good year though. My suggestion to you is to keep bringing people in even after you have enough, if you can manage that... DarkWarrior45
My suggestion to you is to keep bringing people in even after you have enough, if you can manage that... Some very good advice. BTW, does Saint Productions have any kind of site/blog/forum we can check out?
chris 07
Yes good question, you should make your own site or forum for people could go to and be together in a specific place.

DarkWarrior45
When I helped with TiMorrowind, we used Invision Power Boards to quickly set up a forum. Althought now they're known as the ZetaBoards, although I can't say on the admin capabilities of ZetaBoards as much as I can Invision. For an actual site, there's a number of options. Just recently I started using Wordpress to do progress reports, screenshots, and other announcements for the project that I'm currently working on. Plus, the webmaster for the site for our church uses a free service from Microsoft Live. And then there's also the Google Pages.
chris 07
Or if you dont mind using your own money for a domain (.com) it starts off at only 2-3 dollars i think.
DarkWarrior45
Or if you dont mind using your own money for a domain (.com) it starts off at only 2-3 dollars i think. When I was with TimMorrowind, we had the option of actually parking the forum on our own domain for so much a month. Plus they had some features for integrating into a main page. Some people don't like Invision, but what we were doing, I loved the features it provided. Plus they let you purchase more server space and also a little CSS. Plus, they'll never delete the board for inactivity, which can be invaluable for modding these days.
Chunkster
on one hand, i'd absolutely love to join a "mod team." but on the other, i know it would be very difficult to find one that suited me. i'm a total perfectionist. i will spend an hour clutterising a damn table so it looks realistic and "lived in." while i don't have much experience with TES scripting yet, i have a ton of programming experience with both interpreted and compiled languages. and after studying a lot of preexisting scripts and the list of built-in functions and commands, i think i have a pretty good feel for its syntax, capabilities and limitations. i watch npcs use my scripts/packages a dozen times, each time trying to get them to screw up, before i'm satisfied with the result. i would not join a mod team until i was assured that every member of the team felt this very same way. so what i'm trying to say, in the nicest possible way, is that if you expect to attract quality modders to your project, you need to bring something to the table, especially if you expect to be leading it. i'm not talking about a super-cool idea, because those are a dime a dozen. so until you do that, this seems more like a "i have a cool idea and want people to make it for me" kind of deal. i apologize in advance if this seems overly harsh. i'm just telling you how it seems to me, from the perspective of someone who is very interested in joining a mod team.
