Help with making a bashed patch in Wrye Bash

I have read the read-me help file. I think I have an okay understanding of it. I am using NMM to install and sort my mods. Now I want to use Wrye Bash to make a bashed patch. I remember doing this a lot in Oblivion but that was many years ago now as I only just recently got back into modding. I just wanted to ask for some help in assuring I don't do anything stupid since it has been so long since I have used it. For instance. Do I leave skyrim esm checked or do I need to uncheck it before creating the bashed patch? I have read in the read me that the import settings are for oblivion only so should I just disable all of that? Should Dual Sheath redux come after a bashed patch and not be included during the patching process?
