Kelsenellenelvian
There's a couple of mods from a author that was banned 4 years ago. His pages do not forbid usage neither do they give it. What is the official view on the use of those assests?
SirSalami
There's a couple of mods from a author that was banned 4 years ago. His pages do not forbid usage neither do they give it. What is the official view on the use of those assests? Hi Kelsenellenelvian. Lack of information should never be assumed as permission to repackage / redistribute existing content, and our staff would react to such a submission accordingly. This is true even if an author has previously been banned, has requested account closure, or is simply absent. Additionally, if content has been removed from our services previously, it should not be resubmitted. If you want some support in attempting to contact an author, please feel free to PM me and I'll be happy to help if I can.
PoorlyAged
In the category of dumb questions, why is the assets of the banned not deleted at the time of banning? Edited February 23, 2017 by PoorlyAged
Kelsenellenelvian
That was going to be my next question.
SirSalami
Not a dumb question. It's because the necessity to moderate users is not always related to moderating files. One might not merit the other in all cases, therefore the systems are separate. If for example, a user was banned solely as a result of forum activity, submitted files may remain unless the user requests them to be removed. PoorlyAged
I guess my inexperience in this forum is going to show. How would a person banned from the site; and cannot log in, request that their files be taken down?
cdcooley
There's a contact form to either appeal the ban or otherwise communicate with the site staff. Smart people use it to apologize and act like a grown-up.
