Mhort
I'm confused if I use the Sanguine Rose Staff or the Storm Atronach Staff! How could I compare both in combat?
justwannaddl
I prefer dremora to storm atronachs myself. They don't occupy as much space as atronachs do. Sanguine rose also summons based on the player's level so it is probably better in the long run.
TheVampireDante
How could I compare both in combat? One on each hand, use both at the same time and then back off and let them do the fighting against a crowd, follow their progress and see who lasts longest and which deals out the most damage. Just remember to switch to your regular use weapon after casting, in case you get someone chasing you while it's happening.
Mhort
Tested twice against a Forsworn Briarheart just now! And the Dremora lasted for a much better time without dying then the storm atronach! The Dremora is a Kynreeve... The third rank I guess.Later on will the staff summon better Dremora? You know.. when I level up more?? I'm now 38. Edited January 24, 2012 by Mhort

I have never gotten summons to stick when using another summons, whether it be scroll, staff, spell or power.
Krawll
They both have their usefulness . DremoraLords are definatly more powerful but they have no ranged attacks at all so when you're fighting a flying dragon, they're basicly useless. And if you're playing on expert or master difficulty, dremora lords will get one shotted by Ancient Dragons. I've tryed to use dremora lords on ancient dragons at expert difficulty and the dragon just grabs them in their mouth and throws them away as if they were nothing. The Storm Atronachs on the other hand are a lot more usefull against Ancient Dragons because they can attack them from a distance and will keep moving backwards if the dragon tries to get close to them . So even if they don't last the whole fight, they still get a chance to do some damage before they get killed as opposed to DremoraLords who simply get eaten as soon as they reach the dragon. The Storm Atronachs can also attack the dragon while he's in the air . Now if you're in a Dungeon, i would definatly go for the DremoraLords. They are much smaller than StormAtronachs so they can go everywhere you go and they don't get stuck as much and if you're fighting powerfull Draugrs like the Death Overlords or DeathLords or even Dragon Priests, DremoraLords will last longer and deal a lot more damage to them. You gotta be very careful with Summons while fighting Dragon Priests though because they tend to turn your own summons against you. Which is a spell that you can get too but most of the time , the Dragon Priests have a stronger hold over them and your spell will get resisted. Mhort
There's a spell to conjure a Dremora Lord Yeah, but I'm no mage...This character i'm building is an stealth archer, and assassin! And I just sometimes need another person to take the damage, since I don't use heavy armor and stuff...So those staff are perfect for me! Since I'm not investing in the magic skills very much... chanchan05
If you have no skills whatsoever in conjuration (not perks, skill level), the atronach/dremora you would conjure will be based on your capability there. The weaker your conjuration skill, the weaker whatever you summon from your staff. So it won't matter which you choose IMO because as you level up, the enemies will scale with you but these summons won't, and they'll die easily. And using the staff does not increase you skill in conjuration. I'd suggest getting a flame atronach and just level up your conjuration skill first before using the staff. So if I level up my conjuration I will get stronger Dremora!I might just practice using soul trap! Since I just been to Blackreach and got tuns of soul gems! haha
