lioneln
First, thank you modders for all that you do! I have what I think is a simple question. Using NMM, if I install a massive overhaul mod like Requiem but keep it disabled, will it affect any previously saved vanilla games I have? And after I enable the overhaul mod and start a new game, could I safely go back to my previous vanilla save if I disable the mod in NMM again? The reason I ask is that my girlfriend is currently playing vanilla(ish) on my computer, but I'd like to start my own new game using Requiem without ruining her save... is this possible? Any help would be much appreciated by this noob!
Kroekr
The mods will not affect any game they are not installed in. So yes, as long as you two remember to activate/deactivate all mods from the plugin tab in NMM, you will be fine. (You do realize it will be ALL YOUR FAULT if she loads up/saves a game with your mods active). You may have issues if you use a straight replacer mod that does not have an esp (like a texture overhaul). It won't corrupt any vanilla save but it will alter her game unless you disable it in NMM from the Mods tab page.
