rukenninjai
I understand it wouldn't be very lore friendly to some, but I feel if you incorporated them into the Institute they could be. Just a thought. o_O Ive been up for 23 hours so don't mind me at all..........
AuroraMoon
I suppose if the TV was unlockable by going into the Institute and "stealing" some tech, then it wouldn't strain the sense of disbelief too much. If there was "blueprints" lying around that worked like the magazines in the game, then it could be a good way to have a flat screen TV make sense. Been a long time since a play through but im currently working my way though one now and when I run through the institute ill try to get a feel and see how out of place it would be. iXenite
In my opinion it would look out of place. It strays too far away from Fallout's 1950's style Sci-Fi aesthetic in my opinion.

While I agree, look at the Institute. A lot of their equipment also strays away from that feeling, especially when it comes to the Synths. I feel New Vegas and Fallout 3 did it best when incorporating the 50's theme feeling. Although I still love this game they've all had pros and cons. Part of the problem I feel is that the games come out way ahead of their time and technology is still playing catch up. Hell, my OC GTX 1080 has a hard time keeping up with Fallout 4 on ultra in some areas. I feel my 1080 should destroy this game and run at least 50fps in city areas which unfortunately isn't the case. Sorry I got off topic a little bit.
iXenite
I don't know, for me personally I think The Institute fits fairly well. As for performance, that's because all the shadows in the game are rendered on a single core of your CPU which causes a lot of strain on the system. That's why performance can be bad in the city areas. Plus, the game is very poorly optimized in general.
