thenewseth
Hey Guys, I love playing with the NPC's that everyone has made. But i have come to a point where i want to make my own look. I will proably use the body, since the high rez textures,HG CANDY, and Exnum Body replacement is so incredible, but i want to make my own face texture. What free tool can i do this with? Is is that tough? Can i use say for instance the trail version of the latest Poser? Will that work? I don't have the money to buy 3D tool, but i really want to make my own face Texture. Can someone please point me in the right direction? thanks!

chris 07
Change the whole texture? Thats a lot of work, if you want to change how the face looks that a different story and very easy...which way did you mean? If you want to make your texture by all means do! It would benefit the whole community so im sure there would be a lot of help from us!
bben46
There is a special section in the forums - not the Oblivion section, that has many special function tutorials it is located here http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showforum=200 The first tool you need is the Construction Set, commonly abbreviated CS. it s available free on the Bethesda official site here http://static.bethsoft.com/utilities/tes_c...set_1.2.404.exe The manual is on the WIKI http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Construction_Set Read this before you start using the CS I recommend starting with this one How to Make Mods http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=53499 As far as not being able to afford Photoshop, not many of us can. there are many FREE 3D mod tools out there, the favorite here seems to be Gimp - http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14920or, Gimp's Photoshop look alike GIMPShop. http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11895 Or Blender http://www.blender.org/ This one has a very comprehensive set of tutorials. You will also need Nifscope available here: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSkope Modding is not easy, if it was then everyone would do it. However, it is rewarding and fun (and addictive) I spend more time on mods than the game now.

bben46
I can't be Budda, that title is already taken by a guy that deserves it more than me. But thanks for the complement.
