dubiousintent
See the section "Solutions to Starting the game problems" in the "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. IT covers several specific issues. And just an FYI: "missing masters" do not generally display an error message when the game is starting. They are preventing the game engine from getting loaded enough to determine that. But the answer is in that section. Edit: Just realized you are running TTW. Best to take this issue to their support if the above doesn't solve it. -Dubious- Edited February 27, 2017 by dubiousintent
KiCHo666
Here's the strange thing. I occasionaly get the same problem, but I didn't add or remove any mod. When it does happen I have to kill the process via task manager and start up the game again and then it works.I did get that more frequently when using TTW.Problem is it doesn't happen always, but sometimes. I'm yet to find out what's causing it.
dubiousintent
Re: intermittent problems starting. Have you noticed if this occurs when it's been a while since you last rebooted your system? Do you use "hibernation" ("Control Panel" | "Hardware and Sound" | "Choose what the power button does")? "Hibernation" is popular because it quickly gets the system up and running. But people overlook that it does that by saving a copy of dynamic system memory to disk and restoring it from that file. So it starts up with any existing glitches or memory leaks in system memory preserved. That doesn't happen with a "reboot" which flushes out all RAM. Best is a "cold boot" (waiting with the power off for roughly 15-30 seconds so the memory chips actually drain of electric charge). I recommend "cold booting" at least once a week and leaving the system running the rest of the time unless you are going to be away for more than a week. (Running keeps the system heat levels more consistent. Heat fluctuations stress electronics.) Edit: Any time you have to kill an app to get it to stop or regain control, you should at least "warm boot"/"restart" to flush RAM. Otherwise your system memory is in an unpredictable state, which is why you had to kill the app in the first place. If rebooting doesn't reduce the level of incidents starting the game, I would suspect the possibility of a failing memory chip. -Dubious- Edited February 27, 2017 by dubiousintent
KiCHo666
I turn off PC always when I go to sleep. But now that you've mentioned it. I'm using Windows 8.1 and those windows have that new thing that speeds up boot time after shut down.I always forget about that. Here's more info about that.So basically, occasional ACTUAL restart is needed. Thanks for reminding me of that! :)
