97lesser Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 some of the keys on my keyboard wont work any suggestions?
Erik005 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Search the web for a replacement, maybe there is one on e-bay. or a laptop parts store You can also try to get it fixed at the place you bought it.
hoofhearted4 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 clean the keyboard. sometimes crumbs can get in there and stop a key from being pressed all the way down and from registering....if possible, you can take off the individual keys and clean out and reseat them. i had a key (but was on an actual keyboard) that wasnt working, i just popped it off and popped it back on and it started working again.

blove Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Electrical traces can burn out when subjected to high humidity or spills. If several keys in a row are not responding it is definately a trace. Laptop keyboards are usually easy to replace and fairly cheap. Dell laptop keyboards cost about $60.
