gob2
SOLVED: thank you deadbeeftffn and Ethreon So I've been trying to get rid of the glow effect from the Angler's "lure". I've gone into nifskope, material editor, ck, and the dds files. The glow map dds files apparently are not for the lure. Altering the bgem file for the lurefx works....kinda. I can get it to half luminosity by lowering emitance. But only half, seemingly no more or less. The nif files point toward the bgem file, so that seems to be a tiny bit of progress. But I can't figure out where the damn glow is coming from. Lure indeed. On a related note, unflagging "vertex colors" on the lure and then running fo4 freezes my computer. No idea why. Any idea's would be appreciated. I'm open to suggestion. Edited February 27, 2017 by gob2
Ethreon
Doesn't it have some AddOnNodes on the mesh? Delete them if any are present.

deadbeeftffn
There's an addon NIF (DLC03AnglerFXAddons.nif) which seems to get attached to the main NIF. This addon has an AddOnNode.
