Password recovery

Hi boys,

I have received three email of password recovery in, about, thirty minutes, but I haven't request a new password :)

First email at 18:31, second in 19:10, third in 19:12.

 

Can I have informations about who is trying to enter with my account? (Country for example).

Maybe someone is trying to access your account, it wont do them any good without access to your email.

Posting a bogus password recovery message is a favorite malware trick. If you fall for it, they get your old password as well as any new one you enter. Plus your email when you reply to their phishing message and the user name you use for that site. Then the first thing they do is change your password to something you don't know. Then they own your account.

 

you will usually be directed to a page with a group of blank fields - Please enter your email, please enter your user name, then please enter your original password, then a please enter your new password. They don't care what the new one is, you just gave them your real one, along with your email and user name to use to steal your account.

 

Then they will try using that password, along with your email that they got when you replied and your user name to access other sites, like your bank account :verymad:

 

Never reply to a post asking you to reset your password. Instead, if you are suspicious, go to the site that it claims to be from - and is probably not, - DO NOT use any link they supply - and try your password. If it works, immediately use that site's change password function And not the one they link you to - to change it. Then change the password on any other sites that use the same password or user name.
