I once stumbled upon a forum where people were discussing what kind of demon was hunting someone because she kept waking up with scratches. Clearly she was itching herself in her sleep. But beyond that, a lot of people only believe because they want to. They say they really believe and that they have total faith in whatever they want to believe, and they'll get mad if you question them, but many people just wish they lived in a more magical world. That's where posts like this come from, and insulting them doesn't help much. I tolerate neo-pagans because I like their ideas and because I understand that most of them 'believe' by choice, though they'll deny it. (Neo-paganism is my 'pet' religion, lol, I'm not saying anything about this particular post right now) I would deny it if I was in a position like that. So there's no point to be berating them for it unless they really are crazy and try to get sharia rule or something put into law. eltucu Posted January 28, 2012 Share Posted January 28, 2012 hahaha, this remembered me bout when i found a forum that was created by 4chan trolls, it was a forum where Pokemon fans would gather to discuss how to enter into Pokemon world (no joke, im serious) or to discuss when they saw a Pokemon in real life (and that they were destined to catch them or something like that). The admins where rather successful trolls from 4chan, but half of the users where there cuz they actually believed the story lol It was "designed" to attack another forum that was based on the idea that someday the "digiclipse" (or something like that) would happen and will take all the Digimon believers into the Digimon world, the difference is that the digimon forum was actually made by ppl who believed that. It was like i uncovered a secret war on the internet between two madmans clubs. The point is, SOPA sucks (reference there :P ) and that i consider this clouds becoming alive thing on the same level at those digimon "believers". How much bigotry can the politicians try to pass in one month?America is now officially 48th in the world for freedom of the press. I'm gonna keep calling them clouds. Krawll You have a very crude understanding of science. I would call it a kind of religious faith in your betters. You would blindly follow whatever you were told by your priests in white lab coats. No, I'm not taking the other side and defending those wishful thinkers hoping that spirits will save them. In other words , science brings facts that are real and proven. Wel...i really agree with this spiritualistic thing, all you said is ok, but this above..nope..not true. It once WAS about thinking that Physics and Science and all is "right" and facts, but, the further we go now, the more we have to debt, that things are that easy to be said "factive" at all. Example : The surveilled quantum ;) or the string-theory... or bah, bosons and quarks... have i to say more ? :) Yesyes..they are "proven", atleast they are theoretically proven, with mathematics, that are not quite all-the-way-down (example here : pi ). But there are things, that physics just can't explain. For example, how can plants get , in extreme situations, to communicate with eachother and build chemics, they usually can't ? noone can tell. How are waves transported in vacuum ? noone can really come with hard facts :) Bus...as said..rest, yeah...spirituality is about believing, and that is always for one self to have.
