JavaWarrior
Hi all, i recently installed fallout goty on my computer (windows 7). Wanted to get some mods, but every time i try to install the fallout script extender, it says something like Couldn't find C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\fose_loader\fallout3ng.exe, make sure you're running this from the same folder as fallout3.exe.I'm not sure why it thinks my game is the german version, and even then shouldn't the latest version of fose be compatible? Pretty frustrating, and it worked fine when i installed the game/fose on my last computer (an XP.) Anyone have any ideas about this?
M48A5
Open your Fallout3 folder and look for the fose loader. It should be listed just below Fallout3.exe. If it isn't there, do a search of your hard drive to locate the fose loader and move it to your fallout 3 file. Fose should be in the same location as your fallout3.exe or it won't work. Also, go here and read the installation instructions: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8606
JavaWarrior
Ok I did all that, now it's telling me i need to update to the latest patch. My game is up to 1.7, is there another patch i'm missing? Thanks.
M48A5
Are you sure you installed the 1.7 patch? That is the last patch that was issued. I suggest the you reinstall the patch and than try to install FOSE.
