IWantMyMod
Hello. I want to start another game from scratch using different mods but I don't want to get rid of my existing game. If I change the mods for my new game it could screw up my existing game and switching back and forth would be troublesome be best. Is there a way to install the entire game and (and mods) in an alternative locate? That is have two complete install of the game with different mods on the same computer? IsharaMeradin
There is no way that I know of to have two distinct installs of the game. You can use the profile option in Mod Organizer (and possibly in more recent versions of Nexus Mod Manager but I am not as familiar with it) to achieve what you desire:Separate profiles with their own set of mods and their own set of save files. repusDude
If you're into manual installation and don't any NMM or any mod manager, Here's an option: -You can copy your whole skyrim folder and files into another location, kinda like backup. (If you have adequate hard drive space.)- delete any unwanted mods in original location. (Make sure don't delete any essential mods and any Skyrim files.)-next, you can install your different set of mods into original location.- verify your new mods on skyrim launcher data file.-run the game via SKSE if you're still using any SKSE dependent mods.
