Sarimae
If you've got a 64 bit OS, use it, as it will not "lower" but "raise" framerate. A x64 CPU has a 64-bit opcode kernel, more code-orders are supported, and so, it will first of all, benefit, always. Then : the dual-core CPU with 2,1 GHZ is not really a CPU which is still midrange in system terms, but low-speed.Fuerthermore, if you have only 2GB RAM, 800 MB atleast on a 32-bit OS is reserved for the OS. more or less.and last the GFX Card is also not the fastest, but low-speed, too.. So, no...do not expect a Modern Game to run smooth on this specs. But : What are your Graphic-Settings ? Resolution ? Antialiasing ? Shadow Details and so forth ? grasshopper111
Yeah, 8GB ram is par for the course these days. If you've only got 2 then your going to struggle.
Rennn
Go into the .ini and turn off shadows entirely. That'll help your framerate a lot. Trust me, on that graphics card, no shadows and a higher framerate will look better than trying to keep the shadows and deal with a low framerate. You could also get the 1.4 patch beta from Steam, since I hear it helps performance a bit. The TES V Acceleration Layer mod also helps.
luxwing0go
DAT RAM. xP Skyrim will try to eat that ram up and not leave anything for Windows (I'm assuming you use Windows) and they won't like it. That, coupled with the 2.1GHz, will hurt you. On a system like that, quality low might be your only choice. Are you using a laptop?
