zzjay Posted January 28, 2012 Share Posted January 28, 2012 Hi everybody! i tried retexturigìng an armor,but when i finished i din't know how to save it(so many things i didn't know)i tried something and the armor was too bright and shiny and the colours differen from the ones i choose.can someone tell me wich setting i shoud use for save an armor textures in GIMP? ghosu Posted January 28, 2012 Share Posted January 28, 2012 (edited) Don't know how the DDS plugin works in GIMP but you should use DX5 profile if there is an alpha in the file or DX1 if there is none. http://666kb.com/i/c0s216zh1jw1obpy6.jpg The shine effects are affected by the settings in the nif, the chosen cubemap in the texture path settings and the specular map (xxx_m.dds) - white areas are bright, black areas are dark.
