Ironman5000 Posted January 29, 2012 Share Posted January 29, 2012 This would be a fantastic weapon to add, and any weapon model makers could borrow the layout from Fallout. Of course the assets would not be used due to terms of use violation but the anims could be remade with possible scripting. It would be a pretty big task but if pulled off it would be very popular! Plus magic sorta renders guns useless in tes. Why shoot a gun when you can shoot a giant fireball to incinerate them? But thats just my opinion, I dont like guns in tes. Well couldnt someone make a model and texture and like many oblivion mods, if you're low on skill or time, just simply make the weapon rapid fire out like the fire ball spell with just a new sound file?I could be completely off seeing as the most complicated mod I made was just a sword stat buff in oblivion xD Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ironman5000 Posted January 29, 2012 Author Share Posted January 29, 2012 I was thinking more along the lines of custom animations for the positioning, equip/unequip, firing etc. The gun would need to made from scratch so positioning and a good idea of using nodes in nifskope would be necessary. I have tried modelling but don't have the time to perfect it but there are talented people who could attemp the build, texturing is easy so is creating and applying sfx however I havn't tried it with Skyrim until the CK is released. I have thought about using the magic effects as the projectiles but I have customised NV projectiles in a mod I am working on which isn't very hard. Drop from inventory and activate and it will unfold and engage hostile targets. Regarding gatling guns, use 6 magic staves and an some dwemer gearing to rotate them, you will send multiple different effects downrange with an large rate of fire. If the dwemer are all using massive incinerating firebals why the hell would they use poison darts for traps :confused: .
