redxavier
I'm getting mixed results with gnd models, they might be there in the inventory but they're either at the edge of the screen or off it and only viewable when zoomed (which can't be done in the smithing menu). I've tried creating a dedicated gnd nif as opposed to using the normal model nif, essentially replacing the NiTriShape in a vanilla gnd nif with a new one, but despite all the settings appearing the same, it fails to turn up at all in game. The Blender import script fails when importing a nif version. The real problem I'm having is that armour pieces are disappearing completely when dropped, and I suspect it's related to the gnd problem. It only seems to be a problem with armour pieces; weapons and shields appear on the ground when dropped just fine. So, has anyone found a solution? I've noticed some other armour mods have this problem as well.
MShoap13
If you're using SkyEdit to create the necessary plugin entries for the item that may be your problem. It's known to cause this, and you should be able to modify your plugin in TESVSnip and get the ground model working properly.
redxavier
I've been using TESVSnip to change the ground models and models do appear in some form on inventory view. My problem is later down the line. The two issues I have are how to change the positioning of the model in inventory view (i.e. so the model appears centred), and how to get it so that there's a world piece. The key is creating a proper gnd/go nif. But I've not found anything about how to go about creating one.
