redrose35
Can anyone tell me about how to get the dark ritual between Morrigan and Alistair to play after Riodan tells the Grey Warden when killing the Archdemon they will die. I have it installed but it will not play that cutscene. Am I doing something wrong? Does Alistair have to be king? I have his aprroval at 100% and Morrigans is about 85-90% but I didn't do her quest regarding her mother. Is there a walkthrough for this. If anyone can advise me I would appreciate it. Sync182
Here's the Dragon Age Wiki article on the Dark Ritual: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Ritual I've got over a half-dozen playthroughs and the Dark Ritual has fired every time. I know others have got more playthroughs without problems at this point. If the ritual isn't starting for you as the Wiki article says it will/should, then the standard questions apply:* what version of DA do you have?* what patch version?* what mods do you have installed? ahlewis32
Try to back up and get Morrigan's approval at 100%. I had less than 100% with her, love with Alistair and still couldn't get it to fire. I backed up to a previous save at camp, bought enough "thoughtful gifts" from Bodahn to raise up her approval to 100, then went back to the castle and it worked. You have to leave the castle as Bodahn doesn't sell the DLC gift content while he's in the castle, only at camp. Bad thing is that you may have to go through the landsmeet again if that's how far back your save goes but it's better than replaying an entire game like I once did just to get it to work. It's worth the wait though. If it still doesn't work, be sure to check the Read Me file on the Ritual mod as there are a couple of minor clashes between this & other mods. For the purpose of seeing the Ritual Scene, you could turn them off or uninstall them and force a load of your game. However, I don't recommend doing that too often as it can make a game save corrupt. Make a second save in that location and call it BeforeRitual or something to distinguish it. Let us know how this comes out! Possible spoiler!!!!!!----- I have even gotten it to fire when I was in a love relationship with Zevran and had never even kissed Alistair. It was strange watching my Warden in a love scene with Alistair when we weren't lovers. Edited January 31, 2012 by ahlewis32
