Skybroom
I have some locations of highest CTD "priority", where I can expect a CTD take place right after me having talked to any NPC and finished dialogue. Discover them new permanently. Some of them are: Understone Keep, Winking Skeever, other inns. I find it strange, for they seam to have no connection to certain NPCs or quests, but to a location as it is, as one can not guarantee the current dialogue will end to CTD, it may be the next dialogue. The Papyrus tells nothing of this problem, at least closer to the end. Errors might be mentioned somewhere in the depths of Log, but I am not that skilled in Papyrus deciphering. I have quite a lot of mods installed, including Relationship Dialogue Overhaul, Follower Limit Increased, Follower Live Package, and others playing with factions, dialogue quests and so on, all the mods are checked via xEdit on the matter of possible conflicts. Some of them could be deactivated temporarily via MCM, so I tried different combinations, but still could not find the cause of crash. Not able to find a method for troubleshooting. If There's a smart and experienced person who knows what I may be dealing with, please! Edited March 17, 2017 by Skybroom
gromulos
my first question to you would be, Are you using a bashed or merged patch file? If the answer is no, THAT is your problem my guide, do ALL of the blue section to make and use the bashed patch https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2235394-beginners-guide-to-modding/
Skybroom
Sorry, I seem to be unable to handle bashing-merging stuff. This is the way to my mods system to crash completely. Meanwhile, I am still experiencing CTDs after exiting dialogue from time to time. For more than a year I've been suffering from that. This may now happen to me with any NPC I've talked to, may or may not. I checked mods on errors, I checked them on overriding matter. Nothing suspicious I have found. Would you, guys, please just tell me what kind of errors may cause crashes of this sort?
ecobot
I think I have the same thing, any luck on your part?
Iolya
Wow, didn't notice that someone has the same issue as mine... Could someone help us all please? By the way, i've noticed, that if you disable the Unofficial Skyrim Patch Legendary Edition in NMM, the game crashes not immediately after exiting the first dialogue, but after the third of fourth one. And one more interesting thing - if you move Jarl's ass from his throne via console command (moveto player) and speak with him when he's not on the throne - there will be no CTD. Not after the first dialogue at least. Edited February 7, 2018 by Iolya
ecobot
Made some breakthrough! Don't know if related but this works for me on Windows 10, I have no more CTD in dialogues anywhere (still get CTD sometimes in combat or when I do something crazy but that's normal)basically I follow this guide onhttps://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/490125737464717517/went and disabled "Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel service" and.. that's it! Played for hours without CTD I even activated all the mods I thought was the curlprit back and it's all good.Hope this helps some of you guys out, might not work for everybody but it's worth a try.p.s. I have like 252 mods installed.

Iolya
Well, after a few tests and with the help of people from some other forum i have finally managed to solve this problem: for me it was Facelight Plus mod (it's function Facelight Conversation to be exact). If someome has it - try to disable it.

ajvolk42
If I disable it, Skyrim crashes when I try to load a Save game where it was on. Iâll keep experimenting, but I may have to go back 2 days of saves to remove Facelight Plus.
