BooneoftheWasteland
Hi this seemed to happen all of a sudden. I'm updating a mod so I just copy paste after extracting the zip file. Something I've done countless times, however tonight it says I don't have permission to do this. So doing some searching apparently the entire steam folder is controlled by a CREATOR OWNER which hasn't existed before as my laptop usually runs under admin and user. I can't seem to change this ownership or get access as admin. This is the only folder in my system with this CREATOR OWNER so that's why I'm asking here. Thanks
steve40
Most windows folders have that. My Steam library has it. I can still drag'n'drop or extract mods into my data folders etc.Make sure the Users and Administrators groups have Full Control access ticked under the Data folder's Security tab. BooneoftheWasteland
hi thanks for response. They do have access on both user and admin levels. Can I remove CREATOR OWNER safely?
BooneoftheWasteland
What I've done so far is right click on folder, properties>security> and in that list they all have Permissions 'allow' ticked
BooneoftheWasteland
It doesn't seem to allow me to switch that access to Admin or User
