Newbie pc gamer/modder need help

PathInquisiter

Recommended Posts

Hi guys so far i have downloaded dragon age inquisition to my Hp 15 laptop and i have no idea whether it will even work. I've followed the modding tutorial because that was the soul reason for me trying this and i cant seem to get the game to work with out skipping and the mods wouldn't even show up in the new game character creator. So i reinstalled it and tried tot follow the tutorial again with out reinstalling the mods, and when i try to put the mods into the mod path in the mod manager nothing is there but the official patch. I asked the man on youtube but im not sure what he means by this Check your "daimodmanager.ini" file and make sure that both paths are correct. If any them are incorrect then type out the correct path and don't forget to save. :P

If everything is set up properly then make sure that your mods are extracted from their archive and make sure that all .diamod files are not in separate folders,

Please please help tell me what to do I would really appreciate the help

I don't want this to come off the wrong way but did you ever take a look into the forum at all? There are countless posts on this topic and many good answers and solutions to all sorts of problems.

Just for example, here two links which were posted by Barlet89 three days ago to a similar theme (https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5453622-dai-mod-manager-modding-problem/)

my game takes long to start up and skips and buffers and the loading takes ntirely too long. the mods wont load up. then when i finally create a character the cutscene takes forever to finish. then the game places my charecter in exsplotion area and never loads the prison cutscene

Can you run the game on Ultra settings without any mods installed? If not, then your laptop isn't beefy enough to run this game.

The youtube guy meant that you need to make sure that your mod files (.daimod) are not in any zipped files. If they are they will need to be extracted to your mod folder. In the mod manager the "Mod Path:" should point to the address of the mod folder, and the "Dragon Age Path:" should point to the Dragon Age Inquisition game file (it's a .exe file). Your mods should show up in the box below. Hit merge and wait for it to finish. Then run the game.

If your system is beefy enough and the mods merge without issue, but you're still having issues try loading the mods just one at a time to see if one of them might be causing the issue.

Hope this helps!
