Question about Modding Ethics

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this.

I have an old mod by AceeQ saved on my hard drive. A few months after he uploaded it though, it was removed from the nexus. Whether this was his decision or a matter of copyright infringement is something I'm not entirely sure of. He since has never reposted the mod anywhere, nor has he posted any updated version of it. I rather like this mod, and I wish I could recommend it to others and give them some way of trying it out for themselves. I've tried contacting him to see if he would let me repost it on the nexus, giving him due credit of course, but to no avail. He has never responded to me.

Am I allowed to post this mod, or at the very least, a heavily altered version of it? What is the Nexus' Administration's policy on this?

I'm not a Moderator, but that fact that you felt, that you needed to ask, should tell you all you need to know.

"You are always free to appeal your banning", is one of the policies, in the "Terms Of Service."

You really should read it.

Glad I could help.

The answer is simple it would break nexus rules if you uploaded another persons mod without there permission. I recently asked the administrators if I could upload a debugged version of a mod of a person who was dead, the answer was no. So the rules protect authors even after their death.
