Team members access to "hidden mod page"

Hello,

 

Forgive me if I am asking this question in the wrong place. And I'm sure I'm asking a question that has been answered before but none of my search attempts have proved useful.

 

My question: Do team members have the ability to upload/download from our mod page while it is hidden?

 

My scenario, I have uploaded my mod but I wanted to have a couple of people whom I have a dialog with try it out before I make it public so that I don't have to update the day after it's released. I have given three people access to the page. They are all able to reach the page but they are not able to download the files.

 

If this is working as intended please let me know.

EDIT and PS: I posted this question here because this was the only area that has the "New Topic" option available to me, but that's probably due to some security (or lack there of) on my pc.

Hi there, Glass1411.

 

You are correct in that hidden files may not be downloaded by even those added as team members via the file's attributes. I believe this has been done as a security measure but I will check with the team, as I can definitely see the value of your use-case. So, maybe something can be done about this in the future.

For now though, it's probably best to use a more appropriately private file distribution system, maybe something like google drive or dropbox.
