I'm going to add a bit of clarification when it comes to weather and terrain mods. *Most weather and terrain (grass and tree replacement mods / texture replacement) mods can be installed/uninstalled or swapped out at any time without harming your save game. They primarily consist of value changes, changing colors or redirecting/replacing a mesh or texture from a default one to a custom one, but these changes aren't recorded in your save game. The only time you 'might' have an issues with weather and/or terrain mods is if they are using scripts or editing cell or world data to accomplish a goal, but even then it depends on the particular scripts being used or edits being made. Most Mod Authors will have noted on their mod pages or in the mod info if it's safe or not to install/uninstall the mod mid game. *To point out the obvious, any mod that is not properly made can cause game crashes and/or other issues. And if you use Frog's Fallout Seasons mods you can install/uninstall or swap them out at any time without harming your save games.

Actionhorror, Check out Frog's Discord server, her Fallout Season's mods are available there. https://www.nexusmods.com/users/5843488

@ Romalight, Try updating your version of NMM or try using Vortex. Your game may be crashing "because" you have 255 mods installed. That's an insane amount of mods especially if you do not know how to properly resolve conflicts, but the fact is you can have up to 4096 ESL flagged files and 253 ESP flagged files installed at one time. You should read this guide for more information: How to convert ESPs into ESLs using xEdit Later, Glass

How does Nexusmods define: Ad-Free & No Ads for Mod Authors?
Glass1411 replied to Glass1411's topic in Site Support
Hello again BigBizkit, I noticed that you did not my answer original question and I didn't clarify why I was asking for a definition to those words in my reply, but understanding exactly what Nexus means in the following is extremely important 1) In the post you made announcing Donation Points Stats and No Ads for Mod Authors you said the following: (Screenshot) No more Ads for Mod Authors In a similar vein, we recently implemented a change to the way advertisements are delivered on our site to include mod authors in the ad-free group. In other words: in addition to Premium members and supporters, recognised mod authors will no longer see ads on the site. This effectively means that if you have released at least one mod with 1,000 unique downloads or more, or several mods that have been downloaded 1,000 times in total, you will no longer be seeing ads on the site. This will be irrespective of whether you are a supporter or Premium member of the site. This is another small way in which we can give back to the people who are doing their part in making our modding community what it is. With that being said, thank you to all the mod authors, and happy modding! -------------------------------------------- 2) Supporter Memberships says: (Screenshot) A one-off lifetime fee to become a Supporter of the Nexus sites. Valid on all Nexus sites, current and future. Supporter membership gives you an ad-free experience on all Nexus sites, as well as increased Private message capacity and access to the Supporter's image share section. Please note: Supporters are not Premium Members and if you want to become a Premium Member then please pick one of the Premium Member packages. Premium members automatically become lifetime Supporters after their premium membership has expired. So for £1.70 more you can get a month of Premium Membership AND lifetime supporter membership. Tax Please be aware we are obligated by law to charge VAT to EU citizens based on your local tax rate. If you are an EU resident the total price at the end of the checkout process will be shown inclusive of tax. We cannot show you how much the package will be inclusive of tax (for obvious reasons) until you let us know what country you're from during step 2 of the purchasing process. We apologise that this isn't particularly clear. -------------------------------------------- 3) The new ad page / register membership page says: (Screenshot) No adverts on the website As you can see 3 very similarly worded ads/announcements made by Nexus, 2 which requires a purchase. If you could or someone else could explain the difference in "Ad-Free", "No More Ads for Mod Authors" and "No Adverts" or point me to where this difference is explained I would be greatly appreciated it. Thank You again for your time Corrected spelling. Removed off topic question. -
How does Nexusmods define: Ad-Free & No Ads for Mod Authors?
Glass1411 replied to Glass1411's topic in Site Support
BigBizkit, You are referring to what I see clearly as Commercial Advertisements (viewed with regard to profit) (Upsell ads if you are a member with Supporter status to be exact), as banners informing users of the download cap, so I wonder if we are seeing the same thing? If we are seeing the same thing, could you explain why I am being presented with the same options I had when I chose the Ad-Free Supporter option? These screenshots where taken from one my mod pages. There are 2 ads: Ad #1 part 1 - This banner could be argued as just informing users of the download cap, but... Ad #1 part 2 - Part 2 makes this a commercial advertisement and Upsell ad to Supporters. Ad # 2 part 1 - Part 1 of this ad is attached to the download links themselves. Ad # 2 part 2 - This is a full page ad that adds an extra step to the download process. Ad # 2 part 3 - Take you back to the Nexus Store. Corrected spelling error. Edit 2 better image of Ad #2 part 2 -
Hello Nexus Staff, I would like to know how Nexus/Nexusmods defines: "Ad-Free" & "No Ads for Mod Authors" The reason I am asking is because of the 2 new advertisements for the "Premium" membership/service that appear on download pages for members who have purchased the Supporter membership and for recognized Mod Authors. I'm sure you're aware there are other members asking similar questions in other threads and it has been suggested that the Nexus meaning of these words/phrases differs from the meaning found in dictionary's and/or that the definition was always clear but that myself and others misunderstood it. Your clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank You for your time, Glass Edited to insert links.

Ok, let's follow those definitions, completely. If you are supporter then you must have an ad-free experience, that is not be presented with any advertisement at all, advertisement is "the action of calling something to the attention of the public". Mods are being advertised on the site and must therefore be removed for supporters, right?. Supporters should see no mods in the Nexus then, just a blank front page? Obviously not, because dictionary definitions are useless and irrelevant in this discussion. You want "Ad-free" to include the promotion of premium membership but still be advertised mods when you use the site. That's fine, but as arbitrary as any other interpretation, and, more importantly, it seems to be a different interpretation than the Nexus and some other people have, myself included, when I paid supporter my understanding of what I was buying was clear and seems to match perfectly what I've got. I certainly didn't expect it to remove any promotion of premium membership for the site, full page or not full page. The logical way to remove that is to buy a premium membership. And I also didn't expect it would remove banners for their own mod manager. Maybe the time to seek clarification of definitions was before buying, instead of making assumptions then and demands now, just a thought. Please re-read the portion of your statement I highlighted in green. If that sentence is correct and I'm not saying it is or is not, then that would mean nothing, not a single word typed by Nexus can be read and interpreted as meaning the same thing it does in common language. And FYI, "I" have not ever complained or even read a complaint about the small banner and footer ads for Nexus Premium. And "I" am not complaining about "Mods" being advertised because "Mods" are free to download. My complaint is about the 2 new aggressive advertisements now attached to the download pages. -
How about a Holiday Lifetime or Premium Subscription promotion?
Glass1411 replied to HadToRegister's topic in Site Support
Hey, I was making a positive suggestion, how about you stop going from thread to thread to thread with your complaining, everybody has heard you MULTIPLE times. Oh I'm sorry Had to Register, my post wasn't direct at you personally, unlike so many of yours in which you attempt to act superior to and or belittle members for complaining about these new ads. You want to "Help" people? Then help them get what they have already paid for. -

Here's another Christmas / Holiday / Trustworthy Business idea: How about Nexus honors the agreement they made with the thousands of users who have already purchased an "Ad-Free" membership when they purchased "Supporter" status? And How about honoring the "No-Ads" for Mod Authors Nexus was so proud to announce less than 2 months ago? -

There is and always has been a small banner on the bottom of every mod page that advertises their "Premium" service. A full page Ad for a Premium service which offers higher download speeds is not a Public Service Announcement particularly when we were obviously presented that option when we purchased the "Ad-Free" "Supporter" option. -

Donation Points Stats and No Ads for Mod Authors

I'm a mod author and I'm a Premium user. So... Thanks Steve, I see my mistake. "No-Ads" for Mod Authors is no longer accurate. The Mod Author (Status, Group, Category) is not equal to the "Premium" (Status, Group, Category) and you will be reminded of this with a full page ad to purchase "Premium" when you go to download any mod including your own. Paying for Supporter status because it will give you an "Ad-Free" experience across all sites, doesn't mean you're "Premium" so again you will be reminded with a full page ad.
