Legend of the Dragoon

Well I will be upfront, I have NO modding experience so this really is just an idea I am throwing out there into the lake of modders and seeing if anyone pulls.

I was wondering, after the creation kit comes out, whether it would be possible to add elements from the old Playstation game "The Legend of the Dragoon" to the game. It seems it would fit very well into the atmosphere of the game. For those who do not know this game I will outline.

The game focuses arounddn the legendary Dragoon's, humans who gain the spirit of a dragon, and thus take on the aspect of that dragon via the summoning of armor that bestows magic, flight, and strength related to that dragon. The White dragoon can heal, and is fast, Red uses fire magic and strnegth, green uses buffs and precision etc. There were 7 colors in total, White(Healing), Red(Fire), Black(Death), Blue(Water/ice), Green(Nature), Gold(Earth), and Amethyst(Air/Lightning).

My idea was this:

Either activateable item or power(much like a werewolf), or simply equiping the armor.

Addition of magic spells or shouts is not necessary as spells fairly well cover this.

A quest to run with this. I would love to work with a modder simply on the quest, as I do enjoy writting adventures(LOTS of Dungeons and Dragons dm'ing...).

This probably is not possible until the creationkit, but I was wondering if it was at all?

Im so glad you showed up here FalconsFlight. I have been writting out the draft for the possible quest and will post it later today but like my first post said, I know nothing. All I can do is make assumptions on the Creation Kits capabilities. Ill post up the draft here in a few(I am on the wrong computer in the wrong location), and you can take a look at it.

EDIT:

Plot Draft(I sure hope theres no character limit...)

QUEST: Spirits of the Ancients

Recieve a letter from the Court Wizard Ferengar on the Dragon Tablet(the one from the beginning of the game).

-He has discovered information hidden on the tablet.

-The ancient dragon priests had discovered a means of trapping the dragons soul or spirit via taking one of the eyes while the dragon was still alive, and then killing it. The soul would be preserved within the eye much like a draconic soul gem.

-The eye could infuse an item with the dragons power.

-Ferengar would like you to go to another location(possibly a current location or a CK'ed location) to find another dragon tablet that could have more information on this.

New Location, standard draugir barrow with a Lich boss, obtain tablet and bring it to Ferengar.

-Discover the Dwemer were looking into the crafting of a suit of armor empowered with the dragons soul.

-Ferengar sends you to speak with Calcemo on the subject.

Markarth, Calcemo:

-Calcemo believes that Ferengar is on to something and believes that possible plans for the armor could be burried within Nchaund-zel beneath Markarth.

-Retrieve an old dwemer journal from Nchaund-Zel within a vault.

-Calcemo translates the journal and discovers it is one of 3 journals explaining the research into the armor. It explains the project was moved to another dwemer city to be finished.

Find the other two journals from the second location.

-Return to Calcemo for translation.

-Calcemo needs several days for trnaslation

-After studying the first journal though, he discovered the need of a certain gem that could power the armor, possibly the dragons soul gem that ferengar believes in. He believes a smith would know somethign on the gem.

Speak with a smith and be pointed to Eorlund Grey-mane.

-Eorlund explains the legend of the Dragons Eye Jewel, a well known legend among many smiths.

-Eorulnd tells the legend:

"The Ancient Dragon Naminar terrorized the ancient area of the modern day Pale, killing hundreds, and burning down towns. He was one of Alduins closest champions, and made the atrocities of Alduin seem like nothing. after years of this destruciton a hero stepped forth, Wvolfen Fireheart, a dragon born of great power. He fought Naminar in the dragons lair for 7 days before he finally smote the beast. Wvolfen brought back with him, one of the beasts eyes, the dragons powerful spirt trapped within. He gave this trophy to the smith Haanigar the Black who crafted for him a sword of great power with it. The Sword of Wvolfen became legendary, but was lost after Wvolfens death and burial. Its location is uncertain, but the smiths of the Pale belive they know its possible resting place."

Head to the Pale:

-Discover from talking to people three possible locations:

The Pale Barrows

The Dragonheart Barrows

The Caves of Mist

-The Caves of Mist lead to the Barrow of the Dragon Slayer, Wvolfens crypt.

-Entreance to the Barrow of the Dragon Slayer gaurded by Naminar One-Eye, bound by the gem after death to guard the crypt in his former lair.

-Barrow of the Dragon Slayer inhabited by Draugir. Boss is Wvolfen the Dread wielding the Sword of Wvolfen:

Deadric Greatsword: Fiery Soultrap, Flaming

Taking the blade, PC returns to Eorlund Grey-mane who will remove the eye from the sword(returns a daedric greatsword with flaming enchant, exhausted).

The PC can then take the Eye to Ferengar who sends you to Markarth to see Calcemo who has translated the journal.

The journals tell that the recipe for crafting the armor can be found in a vault in Blackreach.

-Vault is guarded by two more powerfull than usual Dwemer Centurions.

After recovering the recipe, the jounrals state that the armor must be forged in the Sky-Forge.

-Smithing 100 and Dragon armor perk, or Eorlund Grey-Mane can craft it.

- Heavy or Light versions:

- Chest: 1 Daedric Heart, 1 Dragon Soul, 3 Dragon Bones, 3 Dragon scales, 5 Ebony Ingots, 5 Leather Strips

- Bracers: 1 Daedric Heart, 1 Dragon Bone, 1 Dragon Scale, 3 Ebony Ingots, 3 Leather Strips

- Boots: 1 Daedric Heart, 2 Dragon Bones, 1 Dragon Scale, 3 Ebony Ingots, 3 leather Strips

- Head: 1 Daedric Heart, 1 Dragon Bones, 1 Dragon scales, 2 Ebony Ingots, 2 Leather Strips

As you see, it is a somewhat substantial questline so far....

Also gain a gem from the vault that can hold a Dragons Soul.

Hey Falcon, lets see if we cant try and edit down this quest line to get something tangible to run with before we get some 3d modelers. I look forward to testing out the creation kit and try my hand.

I would like this main quest line to span a good number of hours and feel natural to the setting, and to try and incorporate much of the elements not touched much upon. I especially want to get that dragon tablet in the mix. I felt like it was a possible lead on something that was just dropped. They never come up again.
